I attended CCYC all throughout my Elementary/Jr. & Sr. High School years so that range would be 1987 thru 1993.

What I learned at camp that has carried with me throughout life is to allow the love of Christ to live in you so that you may show others that love. The camp counselors always made me feel welcome and accepted and it was just a time of fun with friends, food, and Jesus!

CCYC has impacted me in a way that showed me the Love of Christ early on in life. This has had a profound effect on my life as it has given me the confidence to do many things. I know God is always with me and He is for me, with that knowledge how can I fail? And if I don’t find the success that I may desire, then I know God goes before me and has other plans for me. These things have stuck with me in life and so many bits of Jesus stayed with me through good times and bad all because of the time I spent at CCYC. I asked my mother what she remembered about me going to CCYC and her response was, “Well you wanted to be there every chance you got. I think you even talked them into letting you help one week that wasn’t even your age group.” I really loved my time at CCYC!!

Advice to share to anyone wanting to attend camp is JUST DO IT……GO!!!! I loved it and the time I spent on that mountain. It teaches such important life lessons and gives a sense of independence that young people need to experience. It is done in a safe environment around wonderful Christ-centered people. It has impacted me greatly in life and I would encourage anyone thinking about going to be brave and GO!
